CCHS Computer Science Certificate
The CCHS Computer Science Certificate prepares high school students for college and careers in computer science and technology. This rigorous program focuses on critical thinking and problem-solving skills, allowing students to earn up to 12 college credits in Computer Science. As technology careers grow, the skills gained from this certificate become essential. Students will learn core principles, leading programming languages like Java and Python, and essential software development skills.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
- Mathematics: 4 years including Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus - Science: 2 years including Biology, Physics, Computer Science (Dual Enrollment): Computer Science Principles (8 Credits) - Computer Science A (4 Credits) Minimum of one CCHS Summer Coding Bootcamp
- Academic Standards: Minimum GPA of 3.0 overall
- Engagement: Participation requires involvement in industry-related extracurricular activities that contribute to at least 20 hours of vocational experience earned while taking DE Computer Science courses, such as internships or certificates through platforms like Udemy.
