there's only a few of us and I have those few of us we want to welcome you to the alumni family there's two of them they are going to do that today Joey and shahina both attended Calvary Chapel from 12th grade what Joey shooting in 2002 and Shekinah graduating in 2003 after graduating from Calvary Chapel of the University of San Diego where he received his bachelor's and accounting that began his career as an accountant and Ernst where he learned his CPA license he received an MBA from UCLA and currently works as the head of business services at American Vanguard attended UC Irvine need a bachelor's in biology she completed medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in New York and then returned to UC Irvine where she completed her residency in emergency medicine she currently as an emergency medicine physician at Kaiser part of being part of the alumni family is taking this pocket of the Worlds all over the world that's what God is God has called us to do I want you to always be able to come home go to welcome you to this family please welcome mr. Joseph Paterno and dr. shahina beelman life is full of surprises coming to you from the classes of 2002 and two we never could have guessed that 15 years later we would be standing before you today while 15 years separate are graduating class from yours many of the same teachers that taught us are still teaching you today what a test validation this is to the hearts of calories teachers and we want to say thank you to the entire staff for the impact you've had on our lives and the lives of so many students as we considered what we might share with you today thoughts came to our minds we can share from our own experiences the importance of hard work perseverance and focus during overwhelming challenges we could encourage you to always stand for what you believe in and to live a life of a we could tell you to always pursue your passions and to live intentionally oh my God placed on our hearts to pair with you today is something my mom would say to me during the years of transition from high school to college to career and that is this don't ever forget who you are all of you are children of God created in His image and that will never change no matter where life takes you as you go your separate ways today and pursue your very invocations remember your careers will only distinguish what you do they will not define who you are so don't ever let yourself be judged by your six or by your failures because you are God's child and that is how he looks upon you to the class of 2017 congratulations welcome to the calvary alumni family
