Kyle Cole - Class of 2003

I graduated in 2003 and promptly began my career in live entertainment the fall after that with Disneyland. About 4 years into that career, I began teaching at high school and college theatre festivals; what I do, how to get started, what college programs or certificate programs to go through and just all-around "practical, hands-on" experiences running sound during the festival for the students. In my time with the festivals (now doing multiple state festivals a year and the international festival with the Educational Theatre Association, I began doing workshops and then keynote speaking engagements. I have now been with Disney for almost 14 years and currently work for Walt Disney Imagineering designing the computer control systems that automate the audio, lighting, scenic, and special effects elements for our larger (or more complicated) shows and attractions around the world. I ended up attending college (online) from 2009-2012 to get my Bachelor's in Advanced Information Technologies, which has landed me as one of around 50 industry professionals in Entertainment technical design that have experience and education on both sides of the "IT" fence. I would love to share my experiences, stories, and answer questions at something at my own alma mater. I have done much for students from other schools around the country except for my own and would be excited to frame my experiences from the "start" I got running sound at Calvary.
